Simulation Center Ambassadors

UArizona College of Medicine medical students play a vital role in volunteering at the simulation center, enriching community tours and events with their expertise and passion for healthcare. As ambassadors of medical education, they offer firsthand insights into the sophisticated facilities and advanced technologies utilized in medical training.

Through interactive demonstrations and guided tours, medical students provide invaluable hands-on explanations of simulated medical scenarios, highlighting the center's role and showcasing their personal experience as medical students in preparing future healthcare professionals. Simulation Pool Staff 

Simulation Pool Staff (SPS) play a vital role in facilitating immersive and effective learning environments through simulation experiences. These professionals, often comprising of healthcare workers and technicians’, help bridge theory and practice by adding expertise and authenticity to simulation scenarios, enriching the learning experience for medical students.

They work in various simulation modalities to enhance student learning and evaluation related to their clinical practice and systems understanding, all while in a safe and controlled environment. Their responsibilities include preparing for simulations by studying simulation scenarios, implementing, and participating in high-fidelity simulation events as a simulation Operator (mannequin operator) or Inter-Professional Presence (clinical nurse presence support in the simulate environment).

In addition, they are responsible for tearing down and flipping for ither simulation events and conducting special projects to assisted full-time simulation staff with other simulation related responsibilities. By working closely with faculty to execute simulations, these staff members contribute significantly to the overall effectiveness of medical education, preparing future healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
